How It Works

The idea of Ohio Idol came from CEO of InTune Promotions Steve Wise. Steve realized there was so much talent going unnoticed in contests like The X Factor and America’s Got Talent. What home audiences see on TV is only a tiny portion of the best and the worst of the thousands of talented people who apply. He recognized a need for a competition solely for the talent of Ohio. He also hopes that those who participate in Ohio Idol can use this experience to help prepare for other competitions.

Jami Kinton (Emcee & Spokesperson)

Jami Kinton, of Mansfield, is an award-winning reporter for the Mansfield News Journal, a performer on the Radio Disney D-Tour, an official in-park host for the Cleveland Indians, Fashion TV Network, the Ohio Lottery and Ohio Idol. She has been modeling and acting for the last 10 years and has been featured in numerous ads and commercials for Wendy’s, the Ohio Lottery, Purell, Seneca Casinos, Time Warner Cable, Safe Auto and TARGET. Jami is also a beauty contributor for the website of Nigel Barker, of America’s Next Top Model. She has worked on Animal Planet, “As The World Turns” and recently finished filming the Walt Disney Pictures production of “OZ: The Great and Powerful.”

SECOND ROUND LIVE AUDITIONS TOP 100 PERFORM:

June 23rd 2013: The Mansfield Renaissance Theatre, Mansfield Ohio

Top 100 perform live in front of the judges with music on stage. We will announce the TOP 50 the following day by noon.

The TOP 50 will be required to attend a TOP 50 meeting on June 30th at 1:00 pm at The Mansfield Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield Ohio.

THIRD ROUND AUDITION TOP 50 PERFORM:

July 3rd 2013: Starts at 1:00 pm

The TOP 50 will perform live at Red White & Boom in downtown Columbus Ohio right in front of Nationwide arena. The Top 10 will be announced at the end of the day. The TOP 10 will go on to the Finale at The Ohio State Fair on July 27th.
